Nigeria Opts Out of 2026 Oscars Submission, NOSC Cites Quality Concerns

Nigeria's Official Selection Committee (NOSC) for the Oscars announced no film submission for the 2026 Academy Awards. Chairperson Stephanie Linus revealed that despite receiving six entries, the majority vote was to make no submission due to concerns over the quality and competitiveness of Nigerian films.
