NFVCB Chairman Urges Nollywood to Prioritize Box Office Success Over Oscars

He highlighted the need for Nigerian cinema to meet international standards in technical, cultural, and artistic aspects to gain global recognition.

Hussaini stressed the significance of storytelling and production quality in attracting attention from international film festivals and the Academy. He pointed out the challenges faced by Nigerian films in meeting the language requirements for the International Feature Film category at the Oscars, emphasizing the need for deliberate efforts to elevate Nigerian cinema to a global stage through quality content creation and storytelling.
