Nigeria, US Commemorate 20-Year Military Health Partnership in Abuja Ceremony

Nigeria and the United States celebrated 20 years of a significant military-to-military health partnership at the Abuja Continental Hotel. The collaboration, known as the Nigeria Ministry of Defence Health Implementation Programme (NMODHIP) with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), has strengthened Nigeria's military public health response, provided HIV care, and conducted groundbreaking research.

Key figures present at the ceremony included Honorable Minister of State for Defence Bello Mattawale, US Ambassador to Nigeria Richard Mills, and other senior military health officials. The partnership has enhanced Nigeria's access to healthcare and training for thousands of health workers.
