Tinubu Vows to Defeat Terrorism After Maiduguri Attack

President Bola Tinubu reacted to the recent terrorist attack in Maiduguri, Borno State, expressing profound grief over the loss of lives and extending sympathies to the injured and their families. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Tinubu described the attack as a desperate attempt by terrorist elements to instill fear and pressure Nigerian security forces.

He assured that military operations would be intensified to eliminate threats across the country. Tinubu commended the military for successfully repelling the coordinated attack and expressed confidence in their ability to restore calm.

He disclosed that additional support had been approved to strengthen security operations, following a security meeting with leaders of security and intelligence agencies. Furthermore, Tinubu directed security chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri to oversee emergency responses and ensure proper care for victims.

He vowed that terrorists would be tracked down and defeated, stating that there would be no safe haven for them in Nigeria.
