Atiku Abubakar Promises Lower Oil Refining Costs

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that if elected as President, his administration would ensure that crude oil is refined in Nigeria at a lower cost. He emphasized that this initiative would lead to reduced fuel prices for Nigerians, as local refineries would be supported to enhance their production capabilities.

In a post on X, Atiku drew an analogy to shoemaking, explaining that just as the government can support local shoemakers to reduce costs, it can do the same for fuel production. He expressed a broader vision of making life more affordable for Nigerians, aiming to lower costs for transportation, food distribution, and energy for small businesses.
