Nigeria@65: FG Inaugurates Committee for Independence Day Celebrations

The Nigerian Federal Government has set up an inter-ministerial committee to plan and execute the 65th Independence Day celebrations. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, emphasized the importance of unity and patriotism in commemorating Nigeria's achievements.

The celebrations will kick off with a World Press Conference on September 25, 2025, followed by various activities including a Juma Service, Women Activities, Youth Activities, and a Historical Arts Exhibition. The SGF called for a commitment to nation-building and encouraged all citizens to contribute to the country's progress.

The event aims to reflect on Nigeria's journey, celebrate its successes, and inspire a collective effort towards a better future.
