Nigerian Army Rescues 12 Abducted Teenage Girls from Boko Haram in Borno State

The Nigerian Army conducted a successful operation in Borno State, rescuing 12 teenage girls abducted by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in the Mussa District of Askira Uba Local Government Area. The victims, aged between 15 and 20, were kidnapped on November 23 while harvesting crops on their family farm.

The rescued girls, including Fatima Shaibu, Fatima Umaru, and others, were evacuated to a military facility for comprehensive medical care and psychological support. Lt.

Col. Anel, the Nigerian Army spokesperson, praised the troops' determination and emphasized the importance of community support in defeating terrorism in the region.
