Nigerian Military Rescues 12 Abducted Girls from ISWAP in Borno State

The Nigerian Military successfully rescued 12 girls abducted by ISWAP terrorists in the Mussa district of Askira Uba Local Government Area in Borno State. The victims, aged between 15 and 20 years old, were kidnapped while harvesting crops on their family farmland.

The rescued girls, including Fatima Shaibu, Hauwa Abubakar, and Zainab Musa, will undergo medical evaluation before reuniting with their families. This rescue operation comes amidst intensified military offensives in southern Borno against ISWAP remnants following recurring attacks and abductions.
