Abdullahi Advocates Unity and Leadership for Nigerian Basketball

Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, a presidential hopeful for the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), has articulated a vision for leadership focused on unity, inclusion, accountability, and measurable results to advance Nigerian basketball. In a statement, he stressed the importance of collective effort among players, coaches, officials, administrators, stakeholders, and young talents to achieve sustainable progress.

Abdullahi believes that effective leadership should prioritize the collective development of the sport over individual interests and should be judged by its impact. His public-sector experience, including roles as Senior Technical Assistant to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology and Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, supports his focus on measurable outcomes.

Abdullahi advocates for greater teamwork, inclusion, and accountability in basketball administration, asserting that bringing stakeholders together around clear objectives is essential for creating a sustainable structure and delivering tangible progress in the basketball ecosystem.
