Nigerian Breweries Commits to Achieving Net-Zero Carbon Emissions by 2030

Nigerian Breweries Plc, a leading brewery company in Nigeria, is intensifying efforts to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. The company's Corporate Affairs Director, Uzodinma Odenigbo, highlighted significant investments in renewable energy solutions like biomass and solar energy projects to reduce carbon emissions across its operations.

Nigerian Breweries has signed power purchase agreements with renewable energy firms to decrease its reliance on non-renewable energy sources. Additionally, the company has committed resources to support water replenishment projects and sustainability initiatives, such as planting 300,000 trees in Ogun State, Nigeria, and partnering with local organizations for watershed restoration.

These actions align with the company's "Brew a Better World" sustainability strategy.
