Akwa Ibom State Approves New Salary Package for Health Workers to Curb Brain Drain

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Akwa Ibom State has urged the federal government to adopt improved welfare measures for doctors nationwide following the state government's approval of a new salary package for medical personnel. Governor Umo Eno announced the upward review of salaries and special allowances for healthcare workers, effective November 1, 2025, during a state executive council meeting.
