Nigerian Woman Fights to Retain Land After Family Resale

Omosi Etsako, a Nigerian lady, has turned to social media for assistance after her family resold part of a plot of land she bought in 2022. Etsako purchased a 100 by 100 plot after saving money through selling clothes online.

In 2024, her uncle informed her of issues regarding the property, revealing that the original sellers had resold a portion to fund home repairs. Etsako took steps to protect her remaining land by fencing it, but the new buyer destroyed her fence and encroached on her property.

Attempts to resolve the situation amicably were unsuccessful; the family offered her a replacement plot, which turned out to be undeveloped forest. The second buyer then approached her with an offer to buy her remaining 50 by 100 land.

Etsako expressed her determination to retain the land, which she considers the result of years of hard work.
