Nigerian Woman Dies After Arriving UK for Graduation

Mr. Oluranti Olufunmilayo Esther Akinyemi, a Nigerian woman, tragically passed away less than 24 hours after arriving in the United Kingdom to attend her child's graduation ceremony scheduled for February 18, 2026.

She traveled to the UK on February 11, 2026, but suffered a sudden cardiac arrest in the early hours of February 12. Following the incident, she was rushed to Luton Dunstable Hospital, where she remained in a coma for three days.

Unfortunately, she was declared dead on February 14, 2026. The news of her untimely death has been shared widely, highlighting the heartbreak experienced by her family and community.
