UNICEF Backs Nigerian Youths with $20,000 for Climate Action Fellowship

UNICEF has launched a fellowship program in Nigeria to empower young climate champions by providing up to $20,000 in support. The initiative aims to fund youth-led climate projects, offer mentorship, and enhance global visibility.

Selected fellows will receive grants to expand climate initiatives, access technical guidance, and join a global network of innovators. The program targets youths aged 10-30 and focuses on climate education and community impact.

It runs from February 2026 to July 2027, requiring 4-5 hours of commitment weekly. This initiative seeks to cultivate a new wave of climate leaders in Nigeria.
