Nigerian Air Chief Anek Inducted into 2026 Honour Roll

On April 10, 2026, Air Marshal Sundai Anek, the Chief of Air Staff of the Nigerian Air Force, was inducted into the 2026 International Honour Roll at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama. This honour recognizes distinguished global air power leaders and was conferred during a ceremony attended by senior air force leaders from around the world.

Anek, a member of the Air War College's 2016 seminar, participated in the formal induction alongside 15 other air chiefs and two Chief Master Sergeants from various countries. The event underscored the importance of military education and strategic leadership, highlighting the enduring values shared among alumni of the Air War College.

A Nigerian delegation, which included Anek's wife, Ngozi Anek, and other senior officials, engaged in various activities, including a tour of the Governor's Mansion in Alabama and visits to several military heritage institutions. The ceremony culminated in the presentation of an alumni certificate by Lieutenant General Trullei, symbolizing recognition of Anek's exemplary career trajectory and contributions to advancing Nigeria's air power.
