Air Force Chief Commends NAF Nurses at 2026 Celebration

During the 2026 International Nurses Week celebration held at the Nigerian Air Force College of Nursing Science in Abuja, the Chief of Air Staff praised the dedication of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) nurses. He described them as lifesavers and a critical pillar in sustaining health readiness across military operations.

Air Commodore AJ Arumona, representing the Deputy Commandant of the Nigerian Air Force School of Medical Sciences and Aviation Medicine, reaffirmed the NAF leadership's commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and the continuous training of nursing personnel. The theme of the 2026 celebration was highlighted by Air Marshal Anek, who stressed the importance of empowering nurses through education and professional development.

He noted that a conducive work environment is essential for quality healthcare delivery and mission success. The event featured a series of lectures focusing on leadership, resilience, and the evolving role of nursing in modern healthcare, underscoring the NAF's commitment to building a highly skilled and motivated medical workforce.
