ADC Chieftain Claims Democracy Weaker Under Tinubu

Kola Ologbondiyan, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that Nigeria's democracy is currently thinner under President Bola Tinubu than it was during military rule. He described the political situation as absurd, noting that the country has regressed over the past eleven years under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ologbondiyan remarked on the determination of Nigerians to vote against what he termed the "gruesome" APC, particularly as the 2027 presidential elections approach. He pointed out that the political landscape remains uncertain, with opposition parties unsure of their electoral status.

Ologbondiyan also mentioned that the ADC will contest the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need for a united front against the current administration's approach to democracy.
