ADC Criticizes Tinubu Government on Democracy Day

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a statement criticizing President Bola Tinubu's administration for failing to improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians, despite 27 years of uninterrupted democratic rule. In an open letter signed by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC challenged the Nigerian government to assess the current state of the nation, highlighting a decline in public confidence in democratic institutions.

The ADC accused the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government of worsening insecurity, economic hardship, and failing to protect citizens. They noted that millions of Nigerians are struggling with rising costs of living, including food, transportation, and healthcare.

The ADC expressed concern over youth unemployment and the increasing number of young Nigerians seeking opportunities abroad. They attributed the country's challenges to poor leadership and ineffective policies, calling for technology-driven security measures and economic policies aimed at reducing hardship and improving citizen welfare.
