Nigeria’s Flying Eagles Beat Togo 3-0, Reach WAFU B Semi-Finals

On Thursday, Nigeria’s Flying Eagles achieved a decisive 3-0 victory over Togo’s Sparrow Hawks in the WAFU B U20 Championship held in Côte d’Ivoire, ensuring their place in the semi-finals. This win followed their earlier 4-2 triumph against Ghana’s Black Satellites, bringing their points total to six from two matches.

Striker Muiz Adeleke was the standout performer, scoring two goals to increase his tournament tally to four. Abdoulaye Agbejoye contributed a late third goal.

The match showcased Nigeria's attacking prowess and defensive discipline, although they faced challenges from a resilient Togolese side, especially in the first half, which ended 0-0. Nigeria's breakthrough came just one minute into the second half when Adeleke scored, followed by another goal in the 59th minute.
