Nigeria’s non-oil exports hit $3.23 billion in H1 2025—NEPC

Nigeria's non-oil exports reached $3.23 billion in the first half of 2025, as reported by the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC). This figure represents a significant increase from the $2 billion recorded in the same period in 2024.

NEPC's Nonye Ayeni presented the H1 2025 Export Performance Report in Abuja, highlighting that export volume also rose to 2 million metric tonnes in H1 2025 from 1.6 million metric tonnes the previous year. The Q1 2025 exports alone were valued at $1.3 billion, up from $1 billion in Q1 2024.

Nigeria exported 236 different products in the first half of the year, with cocoa beans being the highest exported product, accounting for 20% of the total export value. Ayeni attributed this growth to efforts to align with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the policies of President Bola's administration.
