Nigeria’s non-oil exports hit $3.23billion in first half of 2025

Nigeria's non-oil exports reached $3.23 billion in the first half of 2025, marking a significant increase from the same period in 2024. The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) reported this data, highlighting a 26% growth in export value.

Export volume also saw a rise to 1.8 million metric tonnes, up from 1.6 million metric tonnes in the first half of the previous year. The country exported 236 different products during this period, showing a diversification from traditional agricultural exports.

Cocoa beans were the top product exported, followed by urea fertilizer. The growth in exports was attributed to market opportunities in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and increased demand from countries like India, Brazil, and Vietnam.

NEPC emphasized its commitment to working with stakeholders to further boost export value and volume in line with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
