Bishop Asaju Calls for Spiritual Guidance in Nigeria

During a keynote address at a colloquium marking the 80th birthday of Theophilus Oluwasan Olabayo, founder of Evangel Church Yahweh Worldwide, Bishop Asaju articulated that Nigeria's challenges stem from a lack of spiritual guidance. He asserted that prophets serve as God's mouthpieces, conveying divine messages to the people and influencing governance.

Asaju described Olabayo as a rare and uncompromising prophet who has courageously influenced government decisions. He noted that prophets should not engage in diplomacy but deliver God's messages directly, even at personal risk.

The event attracted religious leaders from the Southwest and beyond, emphasizing the importance of moral leadership within Christian organizations. Professor Rotimi William Omotoy and Professor Oluwayemisi Obashoro John also contributed to the discussions, highlighting the church's role in fostering moral leadership and addressing societal challenges.
