NLC and Afenifere Condemn Senate Over Natasha's Suspension, Warning of Dangerous Precedent

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Afenifere have criticized the Senate's suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti, calling it undemocratic and setting a dangerous precedent. The NLC President, Joe Ajaero, stated that the decision left Kogi Central Senatorial District without representation despite a court ruling in the senator's favor.

Afenifere's Sola Ebiseni also condemned the Senate's action, emphasizing the need for democratic accountability. Both groups urged the Senate to reconsider its position in the interest of justice, democracy, and national stability, warning of potential nationwide mobilization if the matter is not resolved promptly.
