NLC and Lawyers Condemn Senate's Prolonged Suspension of Senator Natasha

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and legal representatives of Senator Natasha have strongly criticized the Senate's prolonged suspension of the Kogi State senator from resuming her legislative duties. The NLC, along with Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Mike Ozekhome, condemned the Senate's actions as an assault on democracy and a threat to the social contract.

Despite a court ruling voiding the suspension and its expiration, the Senate continues to bar Senator Natasha from her constitutional role, depriving her constituents of proper representation. The NLC warned against the Senate's alleged autocratic tendencies and called for a return to democratic principles to prevent a slide towards authoritarianism.
