Nigeria Labour Congress Plans Nationwide Protest Over Insecurity

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) announced a nationwide protest on December 17 to address the escalating insecurity in the country, particularly the recent school attacks. The NLC condemned the abduction of 24 schoolgirls in Kebbi State and the killing of staff members, calling it a gross negligence of security.

The NLC also discussed ongoing industrial concerns, including strikes in the health and education sectors. They urged Nigerians to demand a safer country and called for stronger security measures to protect vulnerable communities.
