NLC Plans Nationwide Protest Against Insecurity on December 17

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has scheduled a nationwide protest for December 17 to draw attention to the escalating insecurity in the country. NLC President Joe Ajaero announced the protest, emphasizing the need for decisive government action and stakeholder involvement.

Ajaero highlighted the impact of insecurity on all Nigerians, condemning banditry and violent crimes. He cited recent incidents in Kebbi State as justification for the protest and called for collective engagement to confront security challenges.

Additionally, Ajaero urged the government to expand social safety nets and provide support for workers affected by insecurity.
