NMMA Opens Entries for 2025 Journalism Awards

The Nigeria Media Merit Award (NMMA) has formally announced the opening of entries for the 2025 awards, inviting journalists and media organizations across Nigeria to submit their best works published or broadcast during the 2025 calendar year. The NMMA aims to recognize excellence in journalism and strengthen the media profession by rewarding credible and impactful storytelling.

Entries are accepted from practitioners in print, broadcast, and digital media, including radio, television, journalists, editors, photographers, and columnists. The NMMA emphasizes strict compliance with submission requirements, stating that entries must be accompanied by supporting documents and original copies of the work.

The awards cover a wide range of categories, including politics, business, education, health, environment, and human rights. Special awards will also recognize excellence among editors, columnists, and media organizations.

The deadline for submissions is set for the end of May 2026, and winners will receive the NMMA's signature golden gong, along with a certificate and cash prize.
