NLNG Receives 98 Entries for Nigeria Prize for Creative Arts

Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) announced that it received a total of 98 entries for the inaugural Nigeria Prize for Creative Arts, which closed for submissions on Thursday. This prize, which carries a cash award of $20,000, focuses on documentary filmmaking that reflects Nigerian stories, specifically targeting the theme of Nigerian youth aged 35 and below.

The handover ceremony marked a significant milestone for the prize, underscoring the strong interest and enthusiasm generated among Nigeria's vibrant creative community. Sophia Horsfal, General Manager of External Relations and Sustainable Development at NLNG, described the volume and quality of entries as a clear indication of the immense creative potential among young Nigerians.

Ann Mari Palmer Ikuku, Manager of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, remarked that the Nigeria Prize for Creative Arts reaffirms the company's belief in the power of storytelling as a tool for national development.
