Nnamdi Kanu Challenges Legality of Terrorism Trial in Nigerian Court

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), challenges the legality of his terrorism trial in a Federal High Court in Abuja. Kanu refused to open his defense, arguing that the charges lack legal validity and are defective.

Justice James Omotosho granted Kanu's request to file a formal written address and adjourned the matter for a week. The court will determine if the prosecution's evidence is sufficient to sustain the charges or if Kanu should be discharged.
