IPOB Criticizes Judge Omotosho Over Nnamdi Kanu's Life Sentence

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) condemned Judge Omotosho of the Abuja Federal High Court for convicting and sentencing Nnamdi Kanu to life imprisonment on terrorism charges. IPOB's spokesperson, Emma Powerful, highlighted legal discrepancies in the judgment, arguing that the charges against Kanu were repealed by the Terrorism Prevention Act of 2022.

The group criticized the ruling as illegal and vowed to challenge it. Kanu's defense team also emphasized the legal impossibility of the judgment under the Nigerian Constitution.
