Nnamdi Kanu Sacks Legal Team, Opts to Defend Himself in Terrorism Trial

Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has made a significant decision to defend himself in an alleged terrorism trial in Abuja after sacking his entire legal team. The trial took a new twist as Kanu is set to open his defense against seven amended charges.

His lead counsel, Chief Kanu Agabi SAN, applied to withdraw from the case, citing the defendant's decision to self-represent. This move challenges the jurisdiction of the court in trying the terrorism allegations brought by the federal government.
