NNL Bars Five Clubs from Registering for New Season Over Debts

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has prohibited Akwa United, Lobi Stars, Heartland, Gombe United, and Sunshine Stars from registering for the new season due to outstanding debts. The league's decision was based on the clubs' failure to settle financial obligations to players, coaches, and administrators.

The NNL's Chief Operating Officer, Danlami Alanana, emphasized that registration would only be allowed upon providing verifiable evidence of compliance with the Nigeria Football Federation's Players Status Arbitration Committee rulings. The affected clubs must adhere to the committee's decisions to clear their debts and be eligible for registration, as stated in the league's circular.
