Gombe United Takes 12-Day Break in Nigerian National League

Gombe United has announced a 12-day festive break following the conclusion of the first stanza of the Nigerian National League season. The team will resume preparations for the second stanza on January 4 after the mid-season break starting on December 24.

Gombe United is currently in third place in the league table with 11 points. The team faced Jigawa Golden Star in their last fixture at Pantami Stadium, which was abandoned due to crowd trouble.

The league body fined Gombe United ₦2.5 million for the incident and the club must pay the fine and forfeit three points and three goals to Jigawa Golden Star by January 9, 2026.
