Lobi Stars Granted Approval to Return to McCarthy Stadium by NNL

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has approved Lobi Stars' return to McCarthy Stadium in Makurdi for the second stanza of the season. Lobi Stars had initially used Lafia City Stadium as their home ground in the first stanza.

Danlami Alanana, the NNL Chief Operating Officer, inspected McCarthy Stadium and was impressed with the upgrades made to meet the league's standards. The NNL had previously disapproved of the venue for failing to provide basic facilities.

However, with the improvements seen during the recent visit, Lobi Stars have been allowed to use McCarthy Stadium. Alanana warned that if the standards are not maintained, the permission to use the stadium could be withdrawn.

Lobi Stars will now welcome Doma United back to Makurdi when the second stanza of the season begins this weekend.
