NNPC and Filling Stations Raise Petrol Prices in Abuja

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and other filling stations have raised the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol. On Sunday, August 30, it was reported that several filling stations adjusted their prices in response to an increase in the petrol ex-depot price set by Dangote Refinery.

The refinery raised its petrol gantry price from N1,200 to N1,265 per litre, marking a N65 increase. This adjustment is part of a series of price changes made by the refinery within the past week.

As a result, petrol prices across Abuja have risen, with motorists now paying between N1,250 and N1,270 per litre at various retail outlets. Specifically, AY Shafa increased its petrol price from N1,250 to N1,270 per litre.
