NNPC Reports N481bn Profit in April 2026 Amid Revenue Surge

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) announced a profit of N481 billion for April 2026, reflecting a substantial increase of approximately 74% from N276 billion in March. The company's monthly revenue climbed sharply to N4.97 trillion, marking a 79% increase compared to N2.77 trillion in March.

From January to April 2026, NNPC remitted a total of N3.71 trillion in statutory payments to the federal government, with N2.89 trillion recorded in the first three months of the year. Crude oil and condensate production increased to 1.68 million barrels per day in April, up from 1.56 million barrels per day in March.

Natural gas production remained stable at 7.7 billion standard cubic feet per day, with gas sales averaging 4.65 billion standard cubic feet per day. NNPC achieved major infrastructure milestones, including progress on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline project, despite facing challenges such as delays in the Trans-Ramos pipeline due to leak detection issues.

The corporation's foundation also reported on its corporate social responsibility initiatives in April.
