NNPC Remits N14.7 Trillion to FG in 2025, Reports N5.76 Trillion Profit

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) remitted N14.706 trillion to the federal government in 2025, alongside posting a profit of N5.76 trillion. The corporation's monthly report for December 2025 revealed that it generated a total revenue of N60.5 trillion for the year.

The report also showcased a record profit after tax, reflecting a robust financial performance and increased contributions to the government's coffers. NNPC's role as a key driver of Nigeria's fiscal and energy outcomes was emphasized, with a focus on boosting domestic gas supply and strengthening the country's energy value chain.

The corporation's strategic gas projects aimed to enhance gas transmission capacity across the nation, supporting the expansion of domestic energy supply and broader economic growth. NNPC announced total revenue of N45.1 trillion for the full year ending in December 2024, with President Bola Tinubu overseeing the federal account's balance of N5.57 trillion.
