NNPC Remits N7.91tn to Federation Account in 2026

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) remitted N7.91 trillion to the Federation Account between January and July 2026, according to its July operational and financial performance report released on Wednesday. During this period, NNPC recorded N3.09 trillion in revenue and N279 billion in profit after tax.

However, crude oil and condensate production fell from 1.73 million barrels per day in May to 1.68 million barrels per day in July, attributed to operational disruptions including facility outages and pipeline incidents. In July, crude oil and condensate sales were reported at 22.53 million barrels, down from 28.23 million barrels in June.

NNPC is implementing measures to reverse the production decline, focusing on maintaining high facility uptime and optimizing export operations. The company also reported 100% availability of its upstream gas pipeline network and advanced construction on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline, targeting early gas delivery to Abuja in 2026.
