NNPC's NEPL Achieves Record 355,000Bpd Output, Signaling Nigeria's Oil Sector Revival

Nigeria's oil sector experienced a significant boost as NNPC's subsidiary, NEPL, reached a historic milestone of producing 355,000 barrels of oil per day, the highest daily output since 1989. This achievement underscores the country's energy reform focus, operational efficiency, and long-term strategic planning.

The surge in production from 203,000 barrels per day in 2023 to 355,000 barrels in 2025 demonstrates substantial progress and sets the stage for Nigeria to target 2 million barrels per day by 2027 and 3 million by 2030. NNPC's Group CEO, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, emphasized the importance of sustained growth rooted in responsible practices and commercial discipline to drive the sector's turnaround.
