NNPP Calls for DSS Investigation of Kwankwaso's Allegations

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has demanded that the Department of State Services (DSS) investigate former presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso following allegations of his inclusion in a U.S. terrorism financing list. The party, through a statement signed by Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sundai, stressed the urgency of the matter, highlighting that no individual is above the nation, especially concerning national security.

The statement also referenced Kwankwaso's past behavior during his tenure with the NNPP, indicating a history of political confusion and internal disputes. The party's founder, Dr.

Boniface Aniebonam, noted that Kwankwaso was provided a platform to contest the 2023 presidential elections without any financial obligations. The NNPP further appealed to U.S. authorities and the Nigerian federal government to ensure that the party is not linked to any alleged terrorist activities involving Kwankwaso.

The statement concluded with a call for the Bola Tinubu administration to intensify efforts to address insecurity in Nigeria.
