NNPP Warns Public Against Impostors, Denies 2027 Coalition Plans

The New Nigeria Peoples Party has issued a public warning about individuals falsely representing themselves as party officials and candidates in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections. Party Founder Dr Boniface Aniebonam made the announcement on Tuesday in Abuja, stating that the party has not entered any formal coalition or working arrangement with other political parties at this time.

Aniebonam indicated that some of the impostors had previously been removed from the party's ranks, with court decisions confirming their expulsion. He emphasized that the NNPP would not be held responsible for any unauthorized political dealings or agreements these individuals claim to have brokered on behalf of the party.

The founder called on political parties, aspiring candidates, and the general public to verify the legitimacy of anyone claiming official NNPP status before engaging in transactions or commitments. The party released a list of authorized officials to serve as a reference point for those seeking genuine party representation.

Aniebonam advised members of the public who may have been deceived by impostors into financial or political arrangements to pursue refunds or other remedies from the fraudsters involved, rather than holding the party accountable. This announcement underscores ongoing internal disputes within the NNPP as the party prepares for the 2027 electoral cycle.
