Presidency Denies Arrest of Aso Rock Kitchen Staff

The Presidency has refuted claims circulating on social media regarding the arrest of kitchen staff at Aso Rock, Abuja, over an alleged plot to poison President Bola Tinubu. Special Adviser to the President on Strategic Communication, Bayo Onanuga, addressed these allegations, describing them as entirely false and misleading.

He emphasized that no kitchen staff at Aso Rock had been arrested or implicated in any poisoning attempt against President Tinubu. The claims arose from a viral video that suggested a chef working within the presidential complex was arrested in connection with the alleged plot.

Onanuga urged the public to ignore the misinformation and reassured that investigations are ongoing, stressing that allegations do not imply guilt until due process is followed. He also advised the public to remain calm and not to panic over the unfounded claims, which have triggered heightened security measures around the presidential environment.
