Sultan of Sokoto Denies Christian Genocide in Northern Nigeria, Calls for Unity

Sultan Sa'ad Abubakar III, Chairman of the Northern Traditional Rulers Council, refuted allegations of a Christian genocide in Northern Nigeria during a meeting in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State. He emphasized the peaceful coexistence of Christians and Muslims in the North, condemning attempts to sow discord.

The Sultan commended the Nigerian Army for its efforts in combating banditry and insurgency in the region. He expressed concerns over misinformation on social media and called for government regulation to curb its spread.
