Mourinho Denies Contact with Real Madrid Amid Speculation

José Mourinho, currently the coach of Benfica, confirmed on Friday that he has had no contact with Real Madrid amidst speculation about his potential return to the club. Mourinho, who previously managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, emphasized that there has been no communication from the Spanish giants regarding their managerial vacancy.

Current Real Madrid boss Álvaro Arbeloa is reportedly set to be replaced after the team finishes the season without major trophies for the second consecutive year. Real Madrid trails La Liga leaders Barcelona by 11 points with five matches remaining and is also facing Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Mourinho, 63, guided Real Madrid to the La Liga title in 2012 and has been linked to the managerial position as the club seeks a new direction. He stated, "There’s nothing real with Real Madrid," indicating a lack of ongoing negotiations.
