NLC President Affirms Protest to Address Insecurity and Economic Challenges

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Joe Ajaero, reaffirmed the commitment to protests aimed at drawing urgent attention to the worsening insecurity and economic impact in the country. Ajaero stressed the need for the government to address issues such as banditry, kidnappings, and security challenges affecting workers.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State highlighted the importance of a strong workforce for positive development and emphasized the government's focus on workers' welfare. The NLC aims to strengthen industrial harmony and productivity through dialogue and mutual understanding.

Governor Yahaya also mentioned Gombe State's implementation of the national minimum wage despite resource constraints.
