Scholars Advocate for Understanding and Implementing Sharia in Nigeria

Scholars at the Annual Public Lecture of the Muslim Congress TMC in Kwara State emphasized the importance of understanding and implementing Sharia law in Nigeria. Ustadh Zanfaran Adeniyi highlighted that Sharia is integral to Islam and promotes justice, welfare, and accountability.

He noted that Muslims in Nigeria should work towards a society where Sharia is properly understood and respected. Adeniyi cited examples of countries like Malaysia and the United Kingdom where Sharia coexists within legal systems successfully.

The scholars stressed that there is no justification for hostility towards Sharia in Nigeria, emphasizing the need for peaceful coexistence and respect for diverse legal systems in the country.
