Peter Obi Declares Intent to Contest 2027 Presidential Election

He expressed his determination to see Nigeria work effectively, emphasizing that his motivation is not personal ambition but a desire for national improvement.

Obi also mentioned his departure from the Labour Party and the challenges he faced with the party's leadership and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which he claimed did not recognize him after his exit. He called for free and fair elections, urging the electoral body to ensure a level playing field for all candidates in the upcoming elections.
