Nigerian Govt Withdraws Abuja-Keffi Road Project Over Substandard Work

The Nigerian government, led by Minister of Works David Umahi, has withdrawn the Abuja-Keffi road reconstruction project from China Harbour Engineering Company Limited due to substandard work. Umahi criticized the company's poor performance and lack of cooperation, directing that no payment will be made for substandard work.

Local contractors will now handle the project to ensure quality and timely delivery. Umahi emphasized the need for compliance with standards and warned against political lobbying for undue favors in the construction sector.
