Governor Wike Declares Fubara Unfit to Lead Rivers State, Cites Leadership Failures

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has publicly declared Siminalayi Fubara unfit to lead the state due to perceived leadership failures and an inability to maintain control over political structures. Wike emphasized the importance of stable leadership and criticized Fubara for failing to respect agreements reached during meetings.

The governor also referenced a lack of capacity to lead effectively, highlighting the need for cooperation among local government chairmen, lawmakers, and stakeholders. Wike's remarks came during a visit to the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area as part of his ongoing state tour.

He warned that confusion at the top could have detrimental effects on governance and trust. Wike also dismissed claims of political support for Atiku Abubakar, instead emphasizing his alignment with President Bola Tinubu.
