Tantita Launches TOCA App to Combat Oil Theft in Nigeria

Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has introduced the TOCA: Tantita Operations Command and Control Application, a proprietary technology platform designed to monitor Nigeria's maritime space in real time and review up to two years of historical activity. Capt Warredi Enisuoh, speaking at the 2026 Nigeria Oil and Gas Week, stated that the application utilizes satellite imagery to track vessel movements and can identify ships that turn off their Automatic Identification System (AIS).

The system also captures radio frequency signals, extending surveillance to onshore movements. Enisuoh emphasized that the technology is intended solely for government use, with no commercial availability for private clients.

The platform collaborates with Nigeria's armed forces, including the Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force, to respond to alerts. Additionally, the system assigns confidence scores to detected vessels and integrates body-worn cameras for personnel tracking, ensuring accountability and safety for staff deployed along pipeline networks.
